2003 Jaguar x-type automatically jumps to fourth gear and stays, what can I do?

if the car is jumping shift points you have a transmission control module issue..You must have the module reprogrammed...If you havent serviced the ****** over 30k miles past you may want to have the fluid flushed and cleaned because most failure comes from dirty fliud which leads to overheating inside the ******,so when you give your car gas the ecm tell the tcm to shift as needed. ..

My 02 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 6cy will not crank. The battary, starter, and alternator are all good. Could this be a ECM issue?

It could be a bad Transmission Range Sensor, bad starter relay, the Passive Antitheft System, the General Electronic Module, Clutch Switch (Manual Transmission), The Engine Control Module, the Instrument Panel Cluster, or one or more of the several fuses that power the above components.

Jaguar 2003 x-type. Trunk will not open with key. THERE IS NOT APLACE TO MANUALLY USE KEY FOR OPENING TRUNK.

You will need to locate IP5 pin 16 on the General Electronic Control Module
that sits RH side behind your instrument panel (UK Car) .
IP5 is the large brown 23 way connector that goes into the module.
Take this pin to ground then your boot will pop open.

Jaguar x type washer failure

it is more likely the wiper switch has bad contacts or the washer pump is defective, go to the pump and have someone hold wash and check for a 12 volt sigal at the washer fluid pump, if no siganl replace the wiper/washer switch, and if u do have the signal at the pump then the pump is defective.
