P0340 OBD-II Trouble Code - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

This indicates that a problem was detected in the camshaft position sensor circuit. Since it says circuit, that means the problem could lie in any part of the circuit - the sensor itself, the wiring, or the PCM. the bank one sensor is either disconnected are faulty.

the bank one sensor is the sensor in the exhaust of the rear cylinder bank of the engine cylinders 1,2,3, the sensor is the one before the catalytic converter. U will need an O2 semnsor socket to remove it or in some cases a 7/8" open end wrench will do.
