the sensor is located behind the power steering pump the plug is on the front left side of motor red and green wires trace it to the sensor behind the power steering pump 8mm bolt holds sensor in and tough to pry out sometime .....

I would advise you to check the wiring they could be causing some short circuits. That would be from the steering up to the wiper's motor.
