I never had this problem with my truck but it sounds like it could be a bad connection signal from the new switch and the computer box that's causing the security light to flash. I know that switch has to be connecting properly in the steering column or it can give off a bad signal. it could also be a bad new switch

99 Tahoe. Left side signals flash. Right side does not but both front and rear bulbs are on.

If the bulbs are lighting but not flashing it is probably the flasher unit relay or a faulty signal switch. Have you checked to see if they flash using the Hazard light switch? Relays are usually a cheap part so try replacing it.

My 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe does not have back up lights. The other lights are working fine and the bulbs are new. What is causing this problem?

The transmission neutral safety/ range selector switch is what turns on the backup lights. It's on the drivers side of the transmission. two plugs going to it. It could be this or a bad wire.

The battery light started coming on yesterday now today when the battery is reconnected the 1999 chevy tahoe starts on it's own. we have no idea what the problem may be.

Start or crank? I bet the answer is crank. It's the solenoid or the ignition switch.disconnect battery, then remove the 2 small wires from starter solinoid. if it still does it it is a bad solinoid or ignition switch. check solinoid first.

Car will not start Will not crank.

look for padlock flashing in the digital display after you try and start car and leave ky igition on if you see it flashing the you need to change either the security sensor in the ignition switch or BCM. not with seeing car, good luck

1999 Chevy tahoe will not start

check the crank sensor. no signal from the crank sensor causes a no spark condition. best way to check is to put a scanner on and check for rpms.
the crank sensor is differnt from the cam sensor
