Weak radio reception on 2012 chrystler 200 convertable

radio plug on connector loose (Connection tab loose) or there could be a sort in the power feeds. or if none of these then an internal fault ( weak capacitor or faulty voltage regulator chip)

my mustang 2012 car radio no AM some FM station no sound

if you live in a weak reception area the only answer is a signal booster or a new aerial on the roof.

do you get any stations, even weak stations on the AM band?  If not you have a bad radio and need replacement.  Try having someone hold the antenna as you scan the AM band.

After reviewing the feedback on these postings I identified the problem them took it to my local car stereo shop. I showed them how by raising and lowering the trunk the signal went in and out. They fixed it for $60 by splicing in some new coax cable. It works great.
