Front emergency/turn signal lights stay on steady when turn signal switch is used. I have checked the light bulbs, and the emergency flashers work the back lights but not the front.
Any suggestion

You hear a clicking sound but none os the turn signals work, neither front, rear or dash indicators? Check the underdash fuse panel to see if it is the flasher that is clicking. There needs to be some resistance in the flasher to make it work so some light should be working. Do the emergency flashers work? They use the same bulbs but a different flasher. Both systems go through the turn signal switch, Move the emergency flasher lever in and out several times to make sure there is a good connection. Check to see if current 12 volts are getting to the signal bulbs.
Do you have brake and parkng lights? The turnsignal switch on the column is just designed to relay a path to the flasher and then it is designed to interupt the brake and some of the parking lights lights, which cause the flashing on and off. Double check fuses double check bulb socks and bulbs for good contacts. Does the 4 ways work? If the lights all flash then locate the turn signal flasher and switch with emergency flasher if possible to rule out relay. If those are all good and the emergency flasher lights work and bulbs, then you would have a problem with the turn signal switch. Hope this all helps
You know you have 2 flashers right, one for emergency flashers and one for signal lights? Does it refuse to flash on both sides, right and left? Have you checked all bulbs front and back are good?
the front stays on steadily because you have duel element bulbs, the filiment for the turn signal is blown out-replace it with a new bulb, when you have it out check too for rust in the socket, they do that (I have a 2000 Intrigue w/140,000 miles)
there is a flasher
.the hazard is wired to constant power so it works with the ignition off.
the turn signal works off of a switched power,to the turn switch and either the right or left turn signal.
if a bulb burns out,the light stays on steady
If the fuses are good and the front and rear bulbs are good, change the flasher for the turn signals, even tho the right is working. If that doesn't fix the problem, it might be in the turn sgnal switch on the steering column.
If both bulbs are good for the backup lights and fuses are good, then the backup light switch, which is screwed into the side of the transmission has to bad.
Did you check the bulbs? If one bulb is burned out, the blinkers won't word on that side. You could have one bulb burned out on each side. Start the car, put left signal on. Check front and back lights. Is one light on but not blinking? If that's the case, the light that's not on at all is burned out and has broken the circuit so the good light stays on and won't blink. Check the other side. You also have a 'flasher' , actually 2. One for emergency flashers, one for the turn signals. It could be that the turn signal flasher is shot. You just have to unplug it to remove. It's probably located near the fuses. good luck countrycurt0
