Hi 2016 Volvo V40 C2 just been serviced at Volvo, after a few days found park assist working intermittently. I had it back to Volvo and they can't find fault. Any ideas, thanks.

Various help here, but as the reversing lights don't work, my guess is an intermittent fault in the shift lever switch.

Can not open the bonnet. The release by the drivers right knee does not seem to work, I can pull it but the latch by the radiator/grill does not seem to function. I have sprayed some WD40 onto the parts...

In order to get the hood/bonnet to open, you will have to grasp the end of the cable with pliers or better yet, vice grips, and pull the cable. But, you still need to figure out what is causing the problem. Check to see if the cable is broken or has simply come undone at the latch. You can try to find the cable where it comes through the firewall and trace it to the hood latch, looking to see if any clamps have loosened up that would allow the cable to move and get too much slack in it. Sure hope this helped you and good luck.

The bonnet on my mx5 is high on one side

Found the problem one of the bonnet hinges was beginning to seize up put loads of wd40 on it moved the bonnet up and down to ease the oil in. Then closed the bonnet and pused down on it where the hinge is so that it became level with the wings. I then just loosend the bonnet nuts slightly closed the bonnet and moved it into the best position carefully opend it and did up the nuts if the headlamps are still a bit low open the bonnet and just pull gently on the back of the head lamp and they wil come into place job done it looks great
