The only way to get the lock back is to take the door panel off the inside. There is a C-ring or E-ring that goes around the lock cylinder to hold it in the hole. Did some one punch it in to get the door open? There may be damage done. The lock cylinder may keep falling in if the hole is now to big. The lock cylinder goes in from the outside and the clip holds it from falling out of the door. It does not fall into the door very easily. If you take it to an auto glass place they can get the door panel off and on for you for a fair price. You do need a special tool to get the panel off without breaking the clips. You can rip it off and break the clips and purchase new ones from the dealer, an auto parts store or a window specialist. Hope this helps. You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

To open the fuel filler door, pull up on the release lever with a gas pump symbol on it. It is located on the floor on the left side of the driver's seat.
