Reinstall steering column on 2004 pontiac sunfire

It's usually in the engine compartment in the underhood fuseblock.

try replacing the flasher unit. i beleive it is located under dash to the left of the steering column

Remember that these car's the Passlock antitheft system. If you replace the ignition, you need to make sure it is compatible with your antitheft system and will need to use the transponder key like before. This can be a much bigger project than you think. This link explains the antitheft
