Shift solenoid is located directly under the air filter box, in the right front of the engine compartment. Yes, you have to remove the entire box to get to it, not just the filter. The shift solenoid is a little box-type thing that bolts to the front of the transmission, under the box as i just said. They are usually anywhere around $80, but some for newer and sometimes older models can range to $160.

Lequita, put your seat belt on or take things off your passenger seat. Sounds like your seat belt chime is telling you someone needs to buckle up.

the code definition is internal pcm fault. if the car has less than 80,000 miles on it you may have federal emissions warranty left and the pcm would be covered by this warranty. the pcm or engine computer needs to be replaced. i would suggest taking it into a dealer because the new computer needs to be programmed after installation and only the dealer can do that.

SOURCE: Starting a 2002 Dodge Neon in extremely cold weather

Turn the ignition key to the run position for 30 seconds and then off for 5 seconds and turn it on to the run position again for 10 seconds and then start the engine. This will pressurize the fuel system and warm up the MAF sensor to burn off any dirt and frost on the filament, you should not have to press on the gas peddle, the Idle air control valve should do that for you. Good luck and this should help.

Has code 0420

This code indicates that the catalytic converter is not functioning properly. This could be due to a poor state of tune and the poor running engine is overloading the cat to the point where it can't control the emissions, or the cat is simply worn out and needs to be replaced.

Need remote programming 2002 dodge neon

If you have a working remote the programming is as follows:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the 'run' position.
2. With the remote that works, press the UNLOCK button for 4 to 10 seconds.
3. Within that 4 to 10 second period, keep holding the UNLOCK button, and press the PANIC button for one second. Release both buttons. You will hear a chime, this means that the car is in remote programming mode.
4. Within 30 seconds of hearing the first chime, press any button on ALL remotes to be programmed (including the working remote). You will hear a chime after each remote is programmed.
5. Turn the ignition key to OFF.
6. Test all of the remotes.

If you don't have a working remote, you will need to go to a dealership to have them program one for you.

Fuel gauge chime

I suggest that you did not disconnect the warning buzzer. The reason why the buzzer goes off is not because you are getting low on fuel, but fuel is what keeps the fuel pump cool and keeps it from burning up. I'd keep in connected because it's cheaper to add fuel than replace a fuel pump.
