SOURCE: driver side wiper wont work

One side does not work? Can you move the arm with your hands? If so, look for a loose nut that holds the wiper arm on. Remove the plastic trim on the wiper arm base, and tighten the 12 millimeter bolt. Please advise if this helps.

SOURCE: steering wheel squeels when I make turns mainly in cold weather

It is probably a power steering belt or the power steering pump. Check the pump fluid, if it's okay get someone else to sit in the car and turn the wheel while you look under the hood. Listen to locate the sound.

SOURCE: Heater/AC control no longer allows change in temperature

You have one of two possible problems.

1) The temperature shaft retention nut is loose behind the knob

2.) The wires to the potentiometer part of the temperature may be broken.

Either one is common to this vehicle. The replacement of the AC controller is about 900 dollars. If the wires are broken, they can easily be reattached to the circuit board via soldering. What you would have to do is remove the control box from the dash, and disassemble it. Once the unit is apart, there are 3 wires from the temp knob to the circuit board that need to be re-soldered. The unit CAN be repaired, as opposed to the expense of replacing it.

SOURCE: 2001 Toyota Highlander Windsheld wiper assebly problem

First check to see if the nut that holds your wiper to the shaft came loose. If it did, just tighten it. If it didn't , you'll have to look in through the access cover. Usually just a screen like cover at the bottom of your windshield. I'm not sure what the setup is on them, but most vehicles, this cover is just held on by screws. Remove your wiper/ wipers if necessary, remove the cover, and look inside. There should be a linkage bar that connects to your wiper motor. It may have come off, or be stripped. I'm sure you'll figure it out once you get that far. Good luck.
