My 2006 silverado 2500, 6.0 engine shows a code for bad o2 sensors, put 2 new ones in, check engine light still one, the code never goes away even after it is reset with the engine off. whats up with...

You have to reset the check engine light. It will erase all the bad codes that you have fixed. To do this, you have to remove the positive battery cable for a minute or so and reconnect. It should clear the check engine light..

The check engine light has come on for our 2006 Chevy Silverado Z71. Checked battery connection. No other problems noticeable.

Go to your local autozone where they can hook up their scan tool for no cost to you. Be sure to write down the codes and definitions of the codes and repost if you don't know where to go from there. Also, I don't recommend replacing parts just because the guy at autozone tells you that's what you need (ie, they will tell you to replace oxygen sensors if an o2 sensor code comes up).

1997 Chevy Silverado problem

hi, ok I'm sure you tried alot of solutions, I think the ECU has governed the engine must have sensed a previous problem or its just a malfunction from a sensor, important sensor to check is the 'engine knock sensor' try disconnecting and reconnecting it or test with multimeter and compare all readings with a new engine knock sensor or disconnect and reconnect battery, the other way might be to reset the engine managment system, this however I dont know but your dealer can do this for you.
