The ABS motor relay has burned contacts and is staying closed because of it.

hi . if the abs light is on its usually a sensor that's gone down.if so will need to be changed. before light goes off. after reset.

The ABS is a complex system, and Camrys are fitted with ABS from one of at least 3 manufacturers (Denso, Bosch etc). When a fault is detected, such as a failed speed sensor, the ABS computer stores a trouble code and disables the ABS. You should get this code read out as a first step to finding the problem. Hey Stan the man,need your vehicles info.,year,make,model and engine size and Tommy on the spot here will send you a picture diagram of your rear brake assembly.There's a special spring tool you can get at auto parts store to remove and install springs,me got one.

yes, i just bought a 2010 camry in Decmber 09, it hasn't been a month yet, and I hear that light "thump" sound coming from the hood, when the car is put into drive after turning it on. As i drive off, and the spee reaches 15 mph, i hear that thump sound. The dealership said that that is due to the ABS system being initialized. How many other people hear that. For some people it might not be a thump type of sound it might be a loud "click" type of sound. Please let us know. Thanks.
