My 98 ford escort is stalling when it get hot out side drives fine in the morning then at night on way home starts to studder and stall have to wait about 10mins to drive 5 mins help

These re known for head gasket failures when at operating temp. should do a compression check hot and cold.

Have you checked thermostat? My old escort got hot in traffic ques up to boiling over, and it was fine after changing the thermostat was cheap at the time , a few years ago, and was easy to do myself.

1998 ford escort zx2 car runs great till it reachs normal operating temp range then it misses like crazy. put in a new fuel pump that didnt help tried new coil pack that didnt help either its not over...

ignition module , that the coil packs sit on ,was the problem on my car. had the same symptoms .ran fine till it warmed up then it started missing like crazy

Headlights went out on a 98 ford escort while driving

if both headlights went out at the same time, check your fuses. because high beams use more power than headlights, they are often on a separate fuse. if fuses are fine, replace the headlights.

I need to replace the drive belt on my 98 Ford Escort ZX2 manual transmission and need a diagram and to know where the tensioner is located. It is a single belt.

check fuel pressure regulator.+ vacuum lines going to it look see if gas in vacuum line.if so regulator rupture.
