2006 Mustang left turn signal acts like hazard lights.

I have a 2006 Mustang. I'm the original owner and the car has never had any work done. Recently, the left turn signal causes all of the indicator lights to blink like the hazard lights are on. The right turn signal works normal. What would cause this?

Where is the flasher located on a 2006 malibu

It doesn't have one. It is electronically switched by the BCM. It does have a relay for the 4-Way Hazard lights according to the videos.

Welcome Customer You car does not have a standalone flasher module, rather the BCM is responsible for controlling the blinking of the lights.

Replacement of turn signal blinker, how is it done?

There are two fuses to check, both 15A. One is for the turn signal and the other is for the hazard lights. I think on the 2006 they are fuses 10 and 29 in the passenger compartment fuse box.
If both fuses are good you are possibly looking at either a faulty flasher relay stuck in the 'Off' position or a faulty turn signal switch. Sadly on the Town Car they didn't fit the flasher relay in any of the fuse boxes. It is mounted separately somewhere under the middle of the dash. I am not familiar with Lincoln cars So I would suggest you take it to a mechanic who does know that make and model.

Turn signal flasher 2006 mustang location in under dash-left-hand side-of steering column, I can hear it but I can't locate it. Where is it please?

There is no flasher relay as you would think.
Turn Signal and Hazard Lamps
All turn signal outputs are controlled by the SJB-smart junction box (computer). The multifunction switch and the hazard switch are hard-wired to the SJB. When the multifunction switch is in the left or right turn position, or the hazard switch is engaged, the SJB processes this information and outputs the appropriate command to the turn signal and hazard lamps. All turn signal lamps provide a lamp outage indication.
Turn Indicators
The SJB sends a message to the instrument cluster over the communication network when the multifunction switch is in the RH and LH turn signal position. When the multifunction switch is in the RH or LH turn signal position, the instrument cluster flashes the RH or LH turn indicators.

Turn signal lights don't work

The first place to start are fuses, check your owners manual for location, typically left side of dash.

The emergency (hazard) flashers and turn signals are on separate fuses and run through the hazard switch. If all the lights work when the hazard switch is on then the problem will likely be a blown turn signal fuse.

Other possibilities are the hazard switch itself is bad, the turn signal switch is bad or a broken wire, all of which require a meter (or test light) wiring diagram and knowledge of the circuit to test it - better to have it done.

Brake lights 65 mustang stopped working.I wondered can the issue be in steering column

On a "one brake light bulb per side" setup, the brake switch feeds 12v to the turn/hazard switch, and the switch will apply 12v to both when no turn signal activated, the right only when the left signal is on,the left only when the right signal is on,and none when the hazards are on.With this in mind,it IS possible that the turn signal switch or wiring is the issue. If you are still running the original switch, try removing the switch and cleaning/regreasing the contacts(or look for something obviously worn or broken). If the switch is bad-hey,you got almost 50 years out of it! I'll bet you won't get that much longevity out of anything built now!

Stop lamp an hazard lights work ?
The body control module (BCM) is responsible for controlling the turn signals and hazard lamps. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left turn or right turn position, the BCM receives a signal from the turn signal switch. The BCM then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, the BCM receives a signal from the hazard switch. The BCM then will send an on-off voltage signal to all the turn signal lamps. All the turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn signal indicators.

Repair an open, high resistance, or short to ground in the inoperative turn signal supply voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Turn Signal Flasher location in 93 Mustang GT

The flasher is a small round plastic cylinder (unless replaced with a metal one) behind the left edge of the glove box that will look similar to the one in the fuse panel. The first step is to squeeze gently both sides of the open glove box and let it swing downward. It will be snapped into a metal horizontal brace just to the left of the glovebox opening by a small tab and have two wires attached. The number more than likely will be a #552 although I have seen a factory one with a Warner #224
