Depends if the alarm model has a module that will interface with that model vehicle. In most cases , I wouldn't try it . The PCM for the vehicle could be damaged if not installed correctly.

Hi Glenn, did you by chance replace your PCM with a used computer? If so you will need to have it reflashed, If not sounds to me like the Passkey security needs to be relearned. Also wondering why you replaced PCM after replacing EGR valve, Please if you can give me some more info on your veh. Body control module controls security so something is not right. The only way forward is to disconnect battery, monitor the short with a test instrument and disconnect associated things one at a time. Also do a thorough inspection of wiring looking for possible damage to loom.
