or It could be a slipping compressor belt. Get the pulleys as well as the belt checked and tightened/replaced if required. When the compressor starts, the initial load makes the belt slip and screech, which goes away once the compressor speed matches that of the belt or the driving pulley.

Hi,can you tell me how to remove the alternator on a fiat punto grande 1.4 aircon petrol 06 plate,its the top bolt that's causing the issue can you remove it without having to disconnect the aircon?

I would look on u tube put in the make and model some guys post some good vidoes on there have found it very good .

My 54 plate xtrail has a rumbling noise but not exactly sure of the locin sounds more like front n/s gets worse 60-70mph

rumbling noises are an indication of wheel bearing problems
as noise travels it would be best to service all the wheel bearings
check the drive line cv or "U" joints as well

Can not get the doorcard/panel off Nissan xtrail rear door as the door will not open from inside or outside.Regards Barry

Will these 2002 ford ranger transfer cases interchange,mine is reg cab 4x4 standard 5 speed 5T13-54-000-038[1L547A195CE]other Access cab 4x4 Automatic 6C13-54-000-037 [1L54-7A195-CC] outsides are same

ONLY use the identical item as the original equipment.( Don't waste your time looking at other products). If you use a different unit you will have significant issues.

Check the alternator belt for correct tension, a loose belt causes slipping hence the squeal
