Yes, they are. It is called a split diagonal system. One separate part is the passenger front and driver rear. The other separate system is the driver front and passenger rear. The reasoning behind it is that if a leak or problem develops in one system, the other will still operate brakes on the other system, and there will still be braking action on both sides of the vehicle.
I am a ford aerostar ownermyself (1995 3.0) i have found that it is easiest way to do it is to go at them from underneath the van the passenger side is easier to do, but the drivers side will take some work to get up there, you can also remove the dogbox and go at it that way to
The hoses go to the side of the rear struts and one goes to the tire inflator ..not sure of the routing but I know thats where they end..One on each strut and inflator
I recently had this repaired. As it turns out, the evaporation reservoir separated from the firewall. I was fortunate enough to have a good mechanic that completely diassembled my dash to locate the leak. He did not make up some lame diagnosis. I was unfortunate enough to have to pay for the extensive work, but it is worth it. He resealed the heater core compartment to allow the water to drain out properly. I spent many hours searching for an answer in the internet. this is the only solution that I know of.
It's probably a blocked a/c drain line. The condensation can't drain out because the hose is blocked w/ 'goop', U should be able to locate the drain hose in the passenger area, front seat about where your feet would be, middle of pass area. U can either blow air thru it to clear it, or from under the car, locate the end of the hose and with a small wire, gently run it up the hose to clear obstruction. The carpet padding is like a sponge, so the moisture is probably wicking to the rear area from underneath. Newer cars run in the a/c mode whenever heat or defrost is on, even though u don't turn on the a/c. Let me know how u make out.
