Fuel not getting to throttle body

1997 chevy Z71, new in-line fuel filter, fuel pump is operating properly. Truck will not start when cold. Starter is engaging, all appears good, but it will not start. If we dump fuel into the throttle body, it will start.

Got water in fuel tank, removed water from truckchanged fuel filter & plugs still will not start

was fuel pump changed and lines flushed---turn key on if fuel pump hums system should pressurize turn off and under hood check to see is gas is present in fuel line[have rag handy and press valve down at fuel test port which is in line between distributor and throttle body if no pressure filter clogged or pump not working -if fuel and water need to drain again -if fuel than need to test throttle body -spray some starter fluid into truck if starts or sputters than still have problem with fuel delivery --

1997 chevy malibu 3.1 engine starts rough and wont idle only runs with gas pedal being pumped

check the fuel filter to see if it is getting clogged and not letting enough fuel through it. make sure you have proper fuel to throttle body so it will run properly. if this does not help much, check idle air control valve.

1997 Chevy K1500 Z71 Chevy fuel injector problem

Did you check fuel pressure to make sure you are getting proper fuel pressure? If it will start with starting fluid then it has to be either fuel related or electrical. Are you getting power to your fuel relay? When you turn the key on can you hear your fuel pump come on? I would not use anymore starting fluid at all to try and start it other wise you cause major problems.

Truck cranks but won't start

Check the fuel line it may have a small hole that is allowing air in. If air is getting into the line the fuel will flow back into the tank. Happend to me one day and it turned out to be the clamp.

1996 silverado 5.7 vortec cranks but wont start. fuel pump, gauges, "idiot" lights, blinkers do not work. flashers and all the rest of lights operate. Just replaced coil and this happens

Had the same problem with my '96 Silverado with 350 Vortec. The truck would only crank. It would start if fuel was poured down the throttle body. Could not hear the fuel pump hum. Fuse was good, but could not hear relay click. Relay was good, Did some electrical wiring trouble shooting. Turned out that one of the connectors that clasp onto one of the pins of the fuel pump relay wasn't making a good connection, too loose. I just stuck a peice of wire into the connector and pushed the relay back in. Relay clicked, Truck Started. It's been more than 4 yrs. since I made that McGuyver fix. Still firing.
