I don't know why the advance trac would be on. I feel that is a different issue from the ABS. On the ABS side one of your sensors is bad or you have a bearing that is going bad and ruined one of your sensors. The ABS sensor is on all four wheels and can easily be identified and changed out. It will be right on the hub (screwed to it on the outside of it) with a 2 or 3 foot lead that plugs in behind the splash guard on the wheel well.

Have the codes read. Transmission problems will cause all this in most newer vehicles. Year make and model really helps.

My 09 chev equinox stabilitrak lite an abs lite came on and stays on

Very common problem. Most likely a bad wheel speed sensor or dirt on the sensor. Get the trouble codes read so you know which wheel is the problem.

The advance trac and awd are not working correctly At start up my 2005 mercury mountaineer has the abs light on , after driving about 50 yards the awd lock light blinks several times then goes to awd...

You current issue is no different than any other
vehicle problem you have had since 1996 when
the OBD2 Systems came into being

You have a MIL Lamp on or check light as some people
call it

You should have checked fore codes immediately within a day
or so to at least know the codes & then googled them to get
some idea of the issues

You know that you have an ABS Braking System issue based on
your owners manual & your abiltiy to recognize Advance Trac etc

Have to have a shop diagnose that system with professional tools

With an AWD issue possible I wouldn't even use it until fixed

The trac control is ussually a bad wheel speed sensor or related
issue

Why abs and advance trac warning light stay lited on 2004 ford expedition ?

Because you have an ABS System Malfunction

A repair shop will check for codes, diagnose &
repair it for you

Doesn't matter what check lights you get on your dash

You should be familiar with them all & the routine,
they have been there for 30 years now

Possibly a bad Wheel Speed Sensor

The ABS lite, No Trac Lite and Service engine lite keep coming on

When the Service engine soon, ABS and TRAC lights are turned on at the same time the computer control units for the engine and the ABS/TRAC systems has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system and the ABS and Traction Control system (part of the ABS system). When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different or the car drive any different. There are about 200 possible faults that turn the Check Engine light on, the fault in your car is likely a part called the VSS sensor to know for sure what the problem is you must have the system tested; Kragen and Autozone parts stores do this testing for free

Trac control and abs lites both on

Sounds like you have a abs problem. The anti-lock brakeing system is part of the trac control. I you loose the wheel speed of one wheel (ie bad speed sensor) both lights will come on.

My .a.b.s... is on, trac control isnt working, stablity control service light is on, and when im driving i can turn the wheel to 9 o'clock left andtiers dont move. when i reverse it locks my wheels up?...

This is a dangerous problem, dont worry about the abs or trac lite till you get the steering fixed..... Could be a loose steering rack ...when you move the steering wheel that much and the tires dont move you have a serious problem..PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE until you can have someone look under the car it should be vey very easy to see whats wrong Good luck

2001 Buick Regal - ABS TRAC Lite on - any ideas? heard taking out fuse will help reset

I would have the codes checked at Auto Zone or Advanced Auto. You may have a bad wheel sensor.

IN THE CONTROL PANEL THE CEHCK TRAC IS ON AND THE

the chck trac is on it means the traction controll is on so you wont get wheel spin,

abs stands for anti braking service i think or something like that its when you are driving and someone pulls out in front of you and you hit the brakes the abs kicks in so your front wheels wont just lockup and you keep sliding for ages, the abs is design so that it pumps the brakes on and off with you having to do it so you still have turning controll and should be able to avoid what ever it is your going to hit.

1994 850 wagon trac light and abs light come on while driving

I will bet money that it is the ABS/TRACS module. It is mounted under the master cylinder on the bottom of the ABS unit. These are very, very, very common failures. I have replaced hundreds of them in my career. To answer your other question, the TRACS system uses brakes. For example: in the snow, when the L or R wheel is spinning faster than the opposite, the TRACS will apply brake to the spinning wheel to slow it down to an equal speed. Hope this helps.
