Check that you are not in 4 x 4 settings on hard surface as that loads up the transmission making it work harder
that it turn can over heat the transmission oil
check for correct oil level in transmission as too much oil or not enough will also heat oil
take it to an accredited service center that has experience on your make of vehicle for a diagnosis of all problems

On a 2005 range rover hse my air suspension is down in the light on the knob is out want come on what to do

Unfortunately there could be several reasons for the failure, including a defective air spring, loose or broken connecting tube, but more likely the pump or the ECU. This is NOT a job to tackle yourself unless you have the experience. You need to get the vehicle to a specialist Land Rover shop (NOT a dealer) and have the system checked by someone familiar with these problems

My 2003 range rover is reading air suspension inactive and it will not go

Try using a scanner to read codes or re-activate, also have a look at the air suspensions bag/balloons, might have a leaky one. If so change, check air suspensions activator unit too. Valves may ber bad.

2004 Range Rover HSE with 78,000 making a humming sound when it goes over 45 MPH Air Suspension System Inactive is reading on the dash , do I need a new compressor?

Humming sound is from the front plastic cowling on the outside of the car, at bottom of windshield, This plastic cover warps over time causing the sound. A little silicone adhesive to tack trim down will alleviate the noise.
2. Air suspension inactive light can illuminate for multiple reasons, To avoid unecessary expense the car should be scanned with a land rover scanner (dealer or aftermarket (expensive) unit)). The compressors do go out, Compressor is the domed shape unit under the spare tire.

Hi.. i have a 2004 range rover and on the message center it tell me that the air suspension is inactive, hdc is inactive as well as selflevel air suspension is inactive... is there any way i can...

The EAS can have many different faults that will give the same warning. I have had several air susp problems. First try to disconnect the battery, wait several minutes reconnect then drive car making at least on full circle. If lights remain, air pump (under spare tire ) can be checked, also valve under a cover behind right front wheel, other than these areas, the Testbook diagnostic at dealer will determine if any other parts are source of problem. Unfortunately, with the complexity of the system many other parts Height sensors, etc, etc can also cause the error message. Good Luck.

Range Rover Sport Pinion and introduction

This new five-passenger premium sport-utility vehicle filled a price gap between Land Rover's LR3 and its ultraluxury Range Rover models. In fact, the all-wheel-drive Range Rover Sport was smaller than either, designed to compete with "high-performance" SUVs such as V8 versions of the BMW X5 and Porsche Cayenne, as well as Cadillac's SRX. Based on the seven-passenger LR3's body-on-frame structure, the Range Rover Sport came as the HSE model with a 300-horsepower, 4.4-liter V8, and in Supercharged trim with a 390-horsepower, 4.2-liter V8. Both engines were sourced from Jaguar, which was owned by Land Rover's parent company, Ford. A six-speed automatic with manual shift gate was the sole transmission. All-wheel drive with low-range gearing was standard, and included Land Rover's Terrain Response system, designed to automatically tailor AWD performance to specific off-road conditions. Also included were a height-adjustable air suspension, antiskid/traction control, and antilock four-wheel disc brakes. The Supercharged model came with 20-inch wheels and Brembo-brand front brakes. On the HSE, 19-inch tires were standard and 20-inch optional. Both models contained front side airbags, head-protecting curtain side airbags, and a navigation system. Standard on the Supercharged model and available for the HSE were wood interior trim, heated seats, and Land Rover's Dynamic Response suspension system, designed to counteract body lean in turns. Satellite radio, wireless cell phone link capability, and rear DVD entertainment were options. Adaptive cruise control was available for the Supercharged edition.
