The pcm is just under the battery on the left side of the engine compartment. The PCM need to be calibrated to the truck and motor. If you just put it in the motor may not start. Read over the information I have attached before you do this. Ken Powertrain Control Module Replacement
Service of the powertrain control module (PCM) should consist of either replacement of the PCM or electrically erasable programmable read only memory (EEPROM) programming. If diagnostic procedures call for the PCM to be replaced, the replacement PCM should be checked to ensure that the correct part is being used. If the correct part is being used, remove the faulty PCM and install the new service PCM.
Important: To prevent internal PCM damage, the ignition must be OFF when disconnecting or reconnecting power to the PCM. For example, when working with a battery cable, PCM pigtail, PCM fuse, or jumper cables.
•
Remove any debris from the PCM connector surfaces before servicing the PCM. Inspect the PCM module connector gaskets when diagnosing or replacing the PCM. Ensure that the gaskets are installed correctly. The gaskets prevent contaminant intrusion into the PCM.
•
The replacement PCM must be programmed.
Removal Procedure
Important: It is necessary to record the remaining engine oil life. If the replacement module is not programed with the remaining engine oil life, the engine oil life will default to 100%. If the replacement module is not programmed with the remaining engine oil life, the engine oil will need to be changed at 5000 km (3,000 mi) from the last engine oil change.
Thank you.. does the pcm has to do anything with the fuel pump not receiving any power?
Yes it grounds the FP relay, but I think you are barking up the wrong tree here, PCM problems are very rare. Are you aware the pump only runs when he engine is being cranked over to start and of course running?
I tried everything already.. I checked fuses, relays, and bought a new fuel pump and nothing. What it does it's that when I crank the car the fuel pump only receives like 2 seconds power
You mean it shuts down even when the engine s being cranked in a couple of seconds?? Have you hooked up a fuel pressure test gage to the test port on the fuel rail and verified it has no fuel pressure? Did you replace the fuel pump connector at the fuel tank, that is very important as they have an issue with the connectors the factory used. If not do not use crimp/but connectors, solder and shrink tube the splices.

the knock sensors are under the intake on the valley cover
SOURCE: PCM module, ECM module 1996 Chevy Suburban K model
Powertrain Control Module = under right side of dash, near blower motor.
Engine Control Module = same as above
Vehicle Control Module = same as above
All Suburban vehicles are equipped with only one of these choices. Good luck.
SOURCE: ECM Location
For one i dont need your vin its a z24 which means it has a 2.4l engine it does not have an ECM it has a PCM powertrain control module, which is located for your car in the right rear corner topside of your engine bay, in 1995-2001 it is located inside the right front fender. I hope this info helps...
SOURCE: Where is oil sending unit on 2003 Chevy Avalanche
It's at the very back of the block, top-center, under the intake manifold.
SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Avalanche. Truck will not
Do a bench test on the starter. Remove starter, hook up a ground cable to starter, and positive to two prongs on starter and it should spin. You can do this in vechile too but not suggested due to risk of injury. If it doesn't spin, probally a solenoid or the starter it self. Unlikely but possible.
