The passenger side a-pillar in my 2014 outlander sport makes a clacking rattle on bumps. Dealer replaced the trim piece on the pillar but rattle persists, solutions?

go back to the dealer while its under warranty. if you try to fix it and cause a problem warranty is void. if not satisfied with this dealer go to another.

2007 toyota avalon, 100,000 miles rear end noise like something is loose in the trunk

Certainly it could be shocks - worn shock absorber valves can cause some horrendous noises on certain types of road service, though strictly the noise could be caused by anything and there is no point guessing - only a hands-on inspection will reveal the culprit.

I just bought this car and it seems like it has really loud road noise, are they all like this? I wouldn't think so. My last car was a 2001 Buick Park Avenue and alot quieter. What might be the problem?

hi.

they are NOT all like that. mine certainly isn't.

the most common cause of excessive road noise is the wrong tyre pressure.

i normally run mine on 32 psi on the front and 34 psi on the rear

i have had problems in the past with some tyre tread patterns causing road noise on particular types of road surface.

check the tyre pressures first.

if the noise persists, feel free to ask for more ideas and solutions

I have a creaking noise coming from the front driver side when making turns at low speed. Also, the front driver side tire is wearing off on the inside. Kim

the tie road end + rack end is the main proplem for making your tire wearing off
the noisy at slow speed coming from tire
you can check that by make the tire free by putting the car on the lift then you catch the tire from side and try to move it (in-out) if its move that mean you need to change even tie road end or rack end or both

Passenger seatbelt adjuster rattle.

Are you sure its the b pillar? When driving its really hard to hear noise's. This car is noise prone by the way.

A very common noise comes from the 3rd row lower seat brackets. Drive the car and check for noises from the 3rd row seat bottom.

The seat belt gets stuck and makes a loud and distracting noise

The system can be operated manually by removing round cover cap on the B pillar (Just behind door). manually turn crank knob on top of motor.

There is a limit switch on the A pillar to turn off the motor for forward movement. There is a limit switch on the B pillar to shut off the motor for rearward movement.

You may need a B pillar limit switch if the belt is going all the way back but not shutting off. Unfortunately the rear limit switch is serviced with the track & motor assembly. Get a used one at car-part.com. Page with * is cheapest part.

You need to remove A pillar trim, B pillar lower trim, B pillar upper trim, and front door opening upper trim.

disconnect front limit switch
disconnect rear limit switch
disconnect motor electrical connector
remove 3 motor bolts
remove 2 limit switch bracket bolts
remove screw at A pillar near limit switch
remove 3 screws at track assy to roof.
pull back carpet & remove 4 screws at floor where you step into car.
remove track & motor assy.
