2008 Pontiac G6. I can't get it to rev over 4000 rpm after changing the crankshaft sensor. To reset the crankshaft sensor you have to rev the rpm past 5000.

Question edited for a lot more clarity. That is the worst written English and spelling I have seen for months! :>D
Question moved to model category.

It sounds like you are in Limp Mode. Was the crankshaft sensor, a proper OEM replacement of a cheap one from Mexico or China? They come faulty as new! Don't go cheap on sensors.

Or it has a rev limiter depending on what you are doing.

2008 Pontiac G6 where is the Mode Actuator located? We have heat coming out of vents however it will not switch to Defrost or Floor

Pull the heater/AC control head and check for vacuum at the mode control switch, if none is present go under the hood and trace the vacuum line to the engine and correct the loss of vacuum which is causing this problem.

Where are the camshaft actuator valves located on a 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP 3.9L V6

I believe you are thinking of the wrong kind of valve. You do not have solenoid valves, you have mechanical valves that open and close off of the lobes of the camshaft.
