Check for power at fuse. If power is there a break in the wire going to cig lighter is broken. If no power than there is a blown fusible link by battery. Check fuses under hood also
there must have been a weak connection somewhere in the line. use a volt meter to trace from the lighter to the fuse box. I have also seen the wire connection go bad during a short in the back of the fuse box itself where the wire goes in. follow the 12 volts and you will find your problem.
On the 2002 GA the cigarette lighter is mini-fuse # 34. This is also referred to as the "accessory power outlets".It's a yellow twenty amp fuse located in the underhood fuse box. Your car should have some fuses under the hood AND under the dash. Your cell charger may have blown the fuse or the wire connection behind the receptacle is disconnected.
Its in the main fuse panel under the hood on the drivers side. There are two different fuses ones marked acc prw that's for the two non cigarette lighter plugs. The other is marked cigar that's for the cigarette lighter.
the fuse for the cigarette lighter is located in the fuse box under the hood. It is a 20 Amp (yellow fuse) in position #32. You can check the lid of the fuse box under the hood for a diagram to show the positions.
