SOURCE: thermostat location on a 1999 cadillac deville concours

looked it up online and looks like it's on the front of the water pump in a thing called the coolant inlet housing. one end of it looks something like the letter y and the other end, where the thermostat is round. hope that helps

On my car, which is the same as yours, it is located on the manifold top back left. Pictures in the book just show it on top.

the MAP sensor is located near the top of the engine, and is on the passenger side of the engine compartment, near the A/C Accumulator (the large silver cylinder). The MAP sensor is a little black square, and underneath it there is a green connector and very small vacuum line.

Under hood, center, rear engine area, above valve cover, mounted in bracket.

Manifold Air Pressure Sensor

Fig. MAP sensor specifications-note how altitude and pressure affect the voltage readings
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the intake manifold top cover.
  2. Disconnect the crankcase breather tube from the throttle body.
  3. Remove the MAP sensor from the intake manifold.
  4. Detach the MAP sensor electrical connector.
  5. Inspect the MAP sensor grommet for wear or damage and replace as needed.
To install:
  1. Installation is the reversal of the removal procedure.

it is a map sensor looks like a black box. iif you pull the wire and it runns good then you need too replace the sensor. however the sensor just not the black peace it the hole square peace thaat it connects to.
