tighten the gas cap, reset the code and see if it stays clear.
if not buy a real gascap.
or if cap is good. get system pressure tested,.

I am currently have the alarm going off on my 06 Tundra 7 and tried the recommendation above but didn't get rid of problem. I don't have keyless remote. There is a red light button on lower left of steering wheel & button underneath the dashboard under the steering column. Has anyone had a problem like mine that can give me specific instructions that will work for my. 2006 Tundra
push trip odometer button so that the mileage is displayed. hold in trip odometer button, keep holding in while turning key on, keep holding until you see the dashes on the display count down and disappear. the oil change light is now reset.
If you have a Owners manual it will tell you. If Not a quick call to a Toyota dealer Service Department with your question will get you an answer. It will be easy to do. Just write the process down and put it in your glove box for next time.
this worked on my corola turn the key to off
then press the button in the speedo meter area its the long black thing that you push to reset the trip hold the button down and turn the key to iggnition on and look at the display if you see ----- then you are on the right track keep holding the button down till all the ----- has flashed and gone off when that happens turn the key off and then back on ..oh you can let the button go when you turn the key back on
