Unfortunately, you've got serious problems. The GM 3.1 and 3.4 engines have a nasty habit of breaking camshafts. For some reason, which I have yet to determine, the cam bearings seize on the cam and the camshaft ends up breaking in half. The engine will continue to run, albeit very poorly since all the cylinders are not working because the rear half of the camshaft, which runs the oil pump, is not spinning.

SOURCE: 2004 Chevy Malibu won't start and shakes when stopped at light

The next time it starts shaking and acting up its the time to have a fuel pressure test, or maybe if you can't remember the last time the fuel filter been chg. do that and see if it dosent run any better. Could be filter getting cloged up, or maybe pump getting weak and dosent show up until its run a while and has got warm.

Had a similar problem audi come into my shop.  No headlights, blower motor would not work, wipers would not work.  After dinking around found ignition switch wires had burn't up.  Remove top steering column by taking out two very small philips screws from under column.  Look at top LH side of column w/ top cover removed.  Probably will find wires burnt up.

No I am a mechanic at Audi. The problem is that the the air flow to the central tappets may be causing the air flow sensor to trip and that is why. Try putting a small amount of WD40 into the petrol and that will work, its a very common problem.

SOURCE: Daughter called me ..car wont

it sounds like you have blown fuse to the Alternator.. I don't know what car you are talking about but they charging systems vary.. But if alternator isn't getting all the power it needs it won't charge. this should be checked.

good luck

Audi tt 2008 yellow warring light on dash board

I suspect that your fuel system is faulty. Check for a clogged fuel filter, or if your fuel pump don't run at all, replace the "fuel pump relay". Sometimes your fuel pump will run, but be too weak to hold pressure, which will let your car idle somewhat, but be too weak to run the engine at speed or under load.

My TT was imported new from Japan....Has AMAZING video and sound system unfortunateley its all Japanese to me!! The manual that comes with it is about an inch think...Its got built in Navigation system...

I know you can that you can change this by simply hooking up a scan tool for specific year. There are language options accessible for situations like this. Here is a sample of what can be changed using VAG 5052 or equivalent scanners.

Lights left on, battery totally flat, will not

You've probably flooded it then - TOO much gas in the engine.
Try this charge the battery or use a GOOD one, and beofre yout turn the key push the gas pedal all the way to the floor and hold it there. Then try and start without lifting your foot. Crank for 20-30 seconds at most.
Do that about 2-3 times, then try to start normally.
Holding your foot stops more gas from entering the engine and allows the gas in there to be cleared out.
Flooding is way easy and then can make starting very hard. You have to be aware of this when trying to jump start a dead battery.

common problem which audi uk dont want to recognise but ironically audi usa did after immense pressure from the owners club.mine does the same and i live with it as the brakes work ok and i can throw the car into the tightest of corners at speed and the car does not roll, yaw left or right ans stays where it should. The fault is inherent with the year build.you can have your own dash pod recallibrated at a cost of around £250 by a british company but there is no real solution or gaurantee

2002 audi tt overheating. overheats at idle. have changed waterpump and the thermostat and the temp sensor and was good for a couple days then same problem

It does sound like the dash pod is faulty. I have had dashes pass cycle tests but turn out to be faulty.
Check when the car is hot, that when you key off and then key just the ignition on that the gauges (fuel and temperature) move slowly and smoothly up to there correct position. If they move very quickly, almost instantly, to there position then this is a sign of a faulty dash.
Let me know the out come.
