After MY Audi TT 58 plate running for 2 seconds and stopping then RAC diagnosing DASH pod dead as it did have no lights on. Then sending it away to BBA reman who condemed it and said it was the chip that had been fried (there words) I recieved it back then refitted it and the ECU to the car charged up the battery and it started perfectly and ran ..... I stopped and started it loads of times as I could not believe my eyes. ... I was going to send it to Audi for a very expensive repair on the strength of the qualified people I dealt with .... Good job I decided to power her up one more time .... Eh ?

Unfortunately, you've got serious problems. The GM 3.1 and 3.4 engines have a nasty habit of breaking camshafts. For some reason, which I have yet to determine, the cam bearings seize on the cam and the camshaft ends up breaking in half. The engine will continue to run, albeit very poorly since all the cylinders are not working because the rear half of the camshaft, which runs the oil pump, is not spinning.

The next time it starts shaking and acting up its the time to have a fuel pressure test, or maybe if you can't remember the last time the fuel filter been chg. do that and see if it dosent run any better. Could be filter getting cloged up, or maybe pump getting weak and dosent show up until its run a while and has got warm.

Had a similar problem audi come into my shop. No headlights, blower motor would not work, wipers would not work. After dinking around found ignition switch wires had burn't up. Remove top steering column by taking out two very small philips screws from under column. Look at top LH side of column w/ top cover removed. Probably will find wires burnt up.

No I am a mechanic at Audi. The problem is that the the air flow to the central tappets may be causing the air flow sensor to trip and that is why. Try putting a small amount of WD40 into the petrol and that will work, its a very common problem.

it sounds like you have blown fuse to the Alternator.. I don't know what car you are talking about but they charging systems vary.. But if alternator isn't getting all the power it needs it won't charge. this should be checked.
good luck
