Rule of thumb...unless you get a better answer:  look for a couple of wires on a small plate that is in the airflow of the fan on the heater/ac unit.  The resistor pack is always air cooled by the fan.

SOURCE: air conditioner blower motor resister on dodge grand caravan

in my 2004 grand caravan it's behind the glove box and left of the blower motor. disconnect the wires first then remove the 2 screws to pull out the resistor unit. First make sure you have removed the negative of your batterie. I had the same pm that prevented the blower motor to operate in any speed. I hope this will help

SOURCE: Cost to replace blower motor on Honda Accord?

The part from the dealer is $180.65 ,labor is .5 hours about $50. If you go to a independent shop the cost should be less:)

SOURCE: 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan heater blower motor not

The Blower Motor Resistor is located behind the glove box on the dash. Remove the whole glove box to access. The Resistor is mounted against/sort of into the fire wall.
1. Disconnect the negative side of battery.
2. Disconnected the Electrical Connection to the Resistor.
3. Remove the bolts/screws. I believe they have 8mm heads, there should be 2 of them.
4. Replace with new one/Replug electrical connection.
5. Reconnect the negative side last.
6. Test System before putting the glove box back in!
The Blower Motor is easy (compared to $1000) to remove and replace.

99 maxima gle heater blower motor resister or amp

This sounds like the blower motor is burned out or the built in thermal fuse is popped in the blower motor resistor module in which case both the blower motor and the blower motor resistor should be replaced as one repair..

My Blower motor for my heater on a 99 ford escort is not working. Is it the motor or resister that is gone??the fuses look ok where is the resister located can you send a diagram

look in passenger foot well on blower case for 4 wire connector.

Behind right side of I/P, A/C-heater plenum

resister bad would still allow high speed. may be blower motor.

  • The blower motor does not operate/does not operate correctly
  • Open fuse.
  • Tripped circuit breaker.
  • Circuitry open/shorted.
  • Heater blower motor switch (18578).
  • Heater blower motor switch resistor (18591).
  • Blower motor relay.

1997 honda passport heater fan motor doesn't work

check the fuses than check for power and ground at the blower motor plug with the engine running and the switch on high. if you have power and ground replace the blower motor. somtimes the blower motor resistor fails too but than the blower usually only works on high. I replaced 1 of each this week.

1995 honda passport

the problem could be either the motor is bad or the reostat (it controls the speed of the motor is faulty.) the reostat is located in the blower motor housing and has two wires going to it. the blower motor is located either on the passenger side fire wall inside the cab behind the glove box or on the fire wall under the hood. please rate this
