Never tow in over drive, Never tow with the accelerator more than Half way to the floor, when shifting Keep the RPMS between 2000-3000 and Drive slow in the next lower gear than what the car selects.
it may require a ECM upgrade in the software
in the mean time restrict the rpms between gear changes
for example accelerate in first ti around 3000 rpms and slow down the selection and keep the rest of the changes around the 2500-3000 rpm range
naturally , the harder yo rev it the longer it will take for the rpms to drop
just as a point of interest how did you get a brand new car that is 4 years old ?
You've a faulty EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation)valve problem. It has to do with emission control and you will not get enough power to achieve speed for trans shift higher when the EGR is bad. Replace the EGR and all will be well.
How can you say there is no loss of power when the car is not moving? You do have loss of power. What you have is a missfire in on of the cylinder. Diagnose the car and rectify. You could have injector or power problems.
It sounds like an EGR fault, exhaust gas recycler valve, this will make the car lose a lot of power and cause the engine light. Normally will not rev over 3-4k rpm with the light on.
could be a side light bulb or a seat belt ,sorry but here in europe this vehicle uses encrypted software so it would be back to the dealer ,now in america with its famous freedom of information act ??? but i honestly wouldnt know as it could be anything that can cause this
try disconnecting the battary for about 1 hour this will clear the computor settings then reconect and drive for a while it may fix it as it happened to me.
