My 2005 equinox has a NEW delco radio but the front speakers still dont work when you set the fader to the front

You have a defective fader control.

Assuming the radio has an output for rear speakers and it is connected to them and you have selected the front/rear fader and attempted to adjust it to the rear, you can't do much more without removing the radio and checking the connections and the wiring to the rear speakers.

When I am faced with this problem I disconnect the speaker wiring from the radio and using a 9 volt battery and two lengths of wire I test the speakers and the wiring by connecting to each speaker in turn. A good speaker with good wiring will produce noise when the 9 volt battery is touched to the terminals. If there is no noise the speaker or the wiring is defective.
If all tests ok then the radio is probably faulty. This can further be tested by connecting temporarily to alternative speakers.

Try the fader control on the radio

Not wired correctly or fader needs setting!

Make sure theVolume up Fader set in the middle for right and left, front anf back I doubt all the speakers dont work, but did you test any of them.. Radio could just be done, or antenna is shot Does it have cassette or cd, did you try those to see if u get sound

Sounds like one of your connections are bad. Go through them again and be sure everything is secure. Also, definately check the fader and balance settings, could just be that the fader is set to front and balance is set to left. Also, why did you punch the first one?

check wiring.speakers can be checked with a 9 volt battery one on each lead it will move if the are operating correctly. check also for wiring/radio shorts.

Have you check the mute setting if you have one as well as the balance, fader and volume controls? This seems obvious but I figure it's worth a shot. Good luck!

try adjusting fader to front speakers...if not the fader...take car to a car audio -stereo shop...not the dealer
