SOURCE: broken upper ball joint on 2003 s10-4wd

You will have to unscrews, and pop the ball joint with seperator. A bottle jack also helps. Otherwise if you want more information, you can go to autozone.com and register for free. Then you will have full free online repair manual

SOURCE: replace upper ball joint 2003 silverado 1500

The ball joints on both 2wd and 4wd upper are pressed in you need to remove snap ring and using a hammer pop out the old one out this is after you seperate the upper arm from the spindle. To install the new ball joint you should use a ball joint press that you can rent at most autoparts shops

How do i replace cv joint on a ford taurus 2003 i cant get the control arm off please help

The control arm is attached with the ball joint, remove the nut on the ball joint, and hit around the stud of the ball joint, hit it hard, but do not hit the stud of the ball joint,it will jar it loose, then use a large pry bar,and stick in the control arm and pry downwards,It is not easy to get the ball joint stud out of the spindle, but it is the only way.but make sure the stud of the ball joint is free from the control arm then push down on the control arm(pry)
