SOURCE: jeep wrangelr Crank Position Sensor

wall5552: there were two engines used in 1992 Jeep Wranglers.
A 2.5 liter and a 4.0 liter. HOWEVER>>>> The location for the crank angle sensor is the same for both.
It is located on the bell housing up near the front at about the 10:00 PM position.
The Cam position sensor is located in the Distributor on both engines as well.

SOURCE: where is locate the camshaft position sensor on

The camshaft position sensor is located inside the distributor. It is a hall effect swich, simply remove the distributor cap and the rotor and you can lift it out, unplug and replace.
Have fun but beware a bad crankshaft position sensor can cause a false cam sensor code to be set sometimes.
Good luck.

SOURCE: Where is the camshaft sensor located on my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee

If you still have a cap rotor and ignition wires, it's inside the distributor. If not, it is the part where the distributor used to be (center rear of the engine behind the intake manifold)

1997 jeep wrangler has a long start. I have changed the fuel pump, camshaft sensor. any other suggestions

There is a head temp sensor and intake air temp sensor, either of which could make the mixture too lean. Check them with an ohmmeter. Not sure the exact reading, but bad ones usually go 0 or infinite.

Will a faulty camshaft position sensor cut power to the fuel pump on a 1998 jeep wrangler?

If the computer does not see a signal from the crank sensor and the cam sensor it will not turn the asd relay on.
Best to test before buying either as other problems may exist. Chlton or haynes manuals are helpful and not expensive..

Engine ligth on .dianosed to be camshaft senor

The camshaft sensor is located inside the engine behind the valve covers. Usually a magnet with a single wire or set of wires. You will have to bring the car into a shop in order to have this properly fixed.
Please let me know if this helps.
