Is 225 an acceptable operating coolant temperature for a 1993 Cadillac Seville STS 4.6L ?

Not a reset for the old car. They work or don't. This is a search and fix problem.

The sensor uses a thermistor which is sensitive to the change in temperature. The electrical resistance of the thermistor decreases as temperature increases.
P119 or P0119 ?

P119 - Shorted Fuel Injector Problem

1039 = (4.6L engine) loss of road sensing data.

1039 = (4.9L) engine) SSS (speed sensitive suspension)signal loss.

The 1039 code requires extensive diagnostic testing.

They will only come on if the engine is over 225 degrees or the ac is on.The fans are controlled by the pcm. There are three fan relays located in the relay center under the hood on driver side. The puller fan (radiator side) is controlled by the PCM and relay B which is the first relay on the right side of the relay center counting from the front of the car (nearest driver side headlight).

I had same issue. 1994 Cadillac Seville SLS serp diagrams not like my engine. Found that it is the same as 1993 Cadillac STS Northstar!

It can be that the cooling fans are not coming on from air in the cooling system,or a bad coolant sensor or cooling fan relay,or a bad water pump,or radiator.

What is the problem? Overheats? 4.6 or 4.9?

Sounds like it is burning coolant, possible blown head gasket or cracked head or intake leak.

If too much coolant enters the cylinder it will stop the engine from running.

neither the 93 seville is just that it's the 4.9 liter before the northstar sts 4.6 came out in same year
