Locating the fuse for my side mirrors in a 1998 ford taurus

there are actually 2 fuses that affect dash lights, the tail light fuse, and the dash light fuse,

just look in one of your fuse boxes for the mirror fuse. there should be a box underhood, and one under dash on drivers side. the cover will show the fuse locations.

Your new mirror is possessed park by a church for five minutes. If its a fuse problem, it is the window fuse. Otherwise you probably loosened up the contacts for the door panel controller or did not plug something back up when you installed the possessed mirror. You didnt say if the windows were working before or not

Try everything to see what does not work,with the fuse out

no the power mirrors are not.
you have a flasher for the signals and the hazards,in fact you have two they can be in several places under the dash on the fuse box or they can be on the right side behind the glove box or on top of the steering column to the right side under the dash

the switch has prob gotten wet and went bad, have checked and if needed, replace

try taking the switch plate off and putting back on incase it was not making contact or take a live feed to the plug to get the motor to work

Check your window fuses. If they are good then you have a loose connection inside the door.
