I'm not having any problems I just want to make sure its OK to have smaller tires in the front of a 4 wheel drive truck

on a 4x4 you need to have the same size tires front and rear as it can mess with the gear ratios when in 4 wheel drive as the front won`t be turning the same as the rear, not to mention the gears in the transfer case turning at different rates that are different that what was designed.

Can you put wheels from a newer front wheel drive volvo on to an older rear wheel drive volvo

Depends if the bolt patters match up. I would usually keep 16" rims if you can since there are so many tires for that size and pretty cheap.

Hi there:
Your VIN code refer at one 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 4.0L 6-cyl. Quadra-Trac, then, according with this, you must pay attention to the Standard tire size (in case of different tires in front and rear the dimensional data are valid for driving or rear wheels):
Standard tire size: P 215/75 R 15
Tire width (mm): 215
Tire sidewall factor: 75
Rim size (in): 15

Total wheel diameter (mm / in): 704 / 27.7

Hope this helps.

I changed the rear wheels on my frontera an now the 4 wheel drive has a really bad clunk when you go down hill but not up it sounds like it wants to jump out of 4 wheel drive but doesnt why is this?

sound like you may have put different size tires/wheels on the rear than what is already on the front. It is critical that the front and rear wheels are the same size.

How do you rotate the tires on a 1993 ACURA LEGEND

I believe this is a front wheel drive.Take the front wheel and tires to the rear of the same side.Take the rear tires to the opposite sides on the front. The easiest formula is "flip the non-drive wheels to the other end".This easy to remember formula is OK for front-drive or rear drive vehicles, but on 4WD or AWD cars/trucks,just switch the fronts to the back and backs to the front without flipping sides. You can also rotate the spare in if it's a full size with a matching wheel, but this is a small percentage of vehicles anymore.

Got 235/75R15 tires on rear. whats the smaller size tires could go on front.

Don't know if you have 2 wheel drive, or 4 wheel drive...if 4 wheel drive Ford would only recom/mend the same size for the front...with 2 whell drive you can run a smaller front size tire...but don;t know why you would except for looks...:) The size smaller than the 235/75/R15 is 225/75R15 and next smaller is 215/75R15 and so on... A lower profile size would be 235/70R15 or 225/70R15 and so on...I would not recommend using anything smaller than these...the smaller sizes don't always cost less anymore...

Tires matter on same size rim?

both tires will fit on the 15 inch rim
But be advised make sure you have same size tires on the drive wheels being as your car is front wheel drive u want both the front tires to be the same size
if this is not done u will burn up your transmission
if you have to put a odd ball tire on put it on the rear

exact opposite is true for rear wheel drive car on a rear wheel drive car u want both rear tires to be the same size

I just had my tires replaced and the tire pressure light is blinking, will this stop or do i need to take it back to the tire place?

Some tire pressure monitoring systems don't care if the wheels were put back on in the same position they were in originally.Unfortunately I think Subaru's do.If the light hasn't turned within a few miles of driving you will need to have your monitoring system reset. Most tire shops have the needed scanners but if they don't,do you Have a Discount Tire in your area? The last I heard they do this for free.Good Luck!
