There is no separate transmission control module on that truck. The functions of the transmission are combined with the engine control in the powertrain control module, a PCM.

Check your bushing on the shift linkage. These tend to break, very common. Dorman offers a repair bushing.

First have the transmission control module scanned for fault codes.

You may have to change the rad. support to get the proper holes to line up. Check with your local salvage yard and see if the parts are compatible in their cross reference book, before you start

Your brake booster is bad. Remove the brake master cylinder under the hood. Then on the inside,under the dash, remove the nuts for the booster.

Your control switch is bad. This is a bad problem with chevys. Even earlier year models had the same problems. I wouldnt get one new, call your local salvage yard and get a used one. Please rate answer accordingly!! Thank you

The best I can tell you is, go to an auto parts store and get a haynes auto repair manual for that vehicle, it gives a step by step procedure on how to do it, About $16.00.
