Why not just do what the owner guide told you?
we have no idea where you live.??????
keywest. FL.
or in
Snag, Yukon

I have a buddy ASE in ALaska , and some never turn off engine ever, or it will not restart. a fact. (and lots more bad stories there)
the oil you use, depends on
location
climate
and seasons.
the operators guide covers that, why not just read it.

try this. (its for new engines
Above 10 F......15W-40, 20W-40, 20W-50
Above 0 F......10W-30
Above 39 F......30
All TEMPS......5W-30

ringing= rattling lifters? lifters can in fact, be full of varnish. (gum up)
then only thinner oil works, but watch oil ;pressure !!!!

on some engines, the DIP stick is clearly marked for grade.

I have a 1999 Chevy blazer 4wd with almost 194,000 miles. What oil is recommended for high mileage?

Well a lot of motor oil brands will have a high milage formula, I prefer synthetic oil for my engine but at 194k miles if you haven't used synthetic oil for the life of the engine it's kind of pointless to start using it now. On that model I believe the recommend change time for the oil is every 5k miles, I would start doing it at every 3k and not worry about synthetic.

Whatr makes oil sludge form under Izuzu Trooper 1988 Model

great question, (old)
oil and water do that.
or not changing oil until 25,000 miles like some dweeb, synthetic oil users suck in to the lie.
or driving only 1 mile per day (short trips)
the engine needs to reach full operating temp to burn off all that water.
gasoline burns into CO2 and water. so water happens
here.

or its a FORD (LOL)

What kind of oil do i use for a 2000 dodge carivan?

ENGINE OIL

You will need to use a 10W-30 grade engine oil, such as any of the following Mobil products.
"Fully synthetic" oils are more expensive. Conventional oils or syn blend engine oils are fine for the vehicle but need to be changed more frequently.

Mobil 1 Extended Performance 10W-30
fully synthetic motor oil ;
spacer.gif Mobil 1 High Mileage 10W-30
fully synthetic motor oil;
spacer.gif Mobil 1 10W-30
fully synthetic motor oil;

Mobil Clean 7500 10W-30
synthetic blend motor oil ;
spacer.gif Mobil Clean High Mileage 10W-30
a conventional motor oil;
spacer.gif Mobil Clean 5000 10W-30
a conventional motor oil .

2001 Isuzu Trooper 3.5L DOHC Motor...................... Burns approximately a 1 quart of motor oil every 3-400 miles. 10/30 Motor Oil. Whats the problem? 2nd question: Same vehicle, Torque on Demand 4WD...

The Isuzu 3.5's all burn about 1 quart between oil changes. It was an engineering flaw with that model engine. Some people have said that running full synthetic oil will correct the problem over time. Either way, it is extremely important that you check your oil regularly.

As for you second question: Torque on demand has at its heart wheel speed sensors which typically are the issue. Having a wheel speed sensor replaced will set you back about $300.

I hope I was helpful.

Can i use synthic oil? It has 91,100 miles as well.

yes
synthetic oil is the same as regular oil
use mobil 1
the only reason to go synthetic is to extend the oil change interval
don't use a cheap oil filter though

Is it okay to change my oil early? And what is a good oil to use besides the recommended motorcraft? I am currently using Mobile 1 full synthetic

No harm in changing early and mobil 1 is a great oil, only once you use full synthetic make sure you continue to use it.

Loud clicking from engine

Classic Trooper problem. You can get a lot of quiet(er) troublefree miles out of your Trooper with religious, regular oil changes. Isuzu is now advising the use of Mobil 1 0w30 synthetic motor oil, changed at 5000 mi intervals to quiet the lifter tapping that you're experiencing. If you're a DIYer, you can pick up 5qt jugs of this oil at Walmart for $23-$26. -Or, you can buy the basic oil change and provide your own Mobil 1 0w30 to the tech to keep the costs down.

It'll take 150-300 miles for the noise to settle down after the fresh oil change. Keep a close eye on your oil dipstick. As soon as you're coming close to a quart low, top it back up. The 3.2l motor will start tapping again when the oil level drops or is near the time to change. Forget the advice about the belt tensioner needing to be replaced. That is rarely the source of the noise. I have two Troopers, Christophe. They're the ones that aren't tapping like crazy at the traffic light. Enjoy your Troop. -Geoff

1998 lexus gs300 multigrade oil to FULLY SYNTHETIC oil

You can Safely Convert over to Full Synthetic and it will be Just Fine. It will actually be Better for the Higher Mileage Motor. Just make for sure that you Drain all of the Old oil out as Possible Before you refill with the Synthetic. A Little Mix will not Hurt the Motor at all. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
