It depends on what the stuff looked like . But yes a ten year old transfer case should have had all the wearing parts replaced. Maybe the whole case should have been replaced. But maybe it is adjusted wrong . Call anoyher garage to see if they can look at it.
Ok in the Haynes Repair Manual it say that the TPS sensor is non adjustable on a ranger. Now if you have an adjustable one you have a TPS block that you use to set this sensor. The best bet is to line up the slot in the TPS with the blade on the throttle shart.
