DRL dashboard indicator and headlight indicator lamps not working

DRL and headlights work just fine, just NO indicator on the dash. 2007 Subaru Outback. Is there a fuse that controls the dash indicator light for this?

There is no separate fuse, pull the cluster out and check that the bulb socket it is making a good connection and if it is ok replace the bulb for that indicator and verify operation before buttoning up the job..

2002 Suzuki XL7 - DRL headlights won't come on - not fuses

yes heat is always a cause, heat wrecks all things many makes faster (electric)
DRL love to fail is this up in canada, , it is not law USA to have it.
he law here ended 2010 on DRL junk.(proven not to work)
many cars have a DRL module and the pins on it look burnt
and is bad. ALL DRL on suzuki seen by me to 2000 did that
no sure 02
DRL has relays to fail or even hand brakes switch too.
the 2 rules on DLR are
hand brake must turn off and lamps on, no kind of brake failure allowed,
and
no GEN?/ALT/Batteyr lamp failure in cluster
this last bit of logic allows driving further DLR off, and dead alternator in car..
or bad relays. H.L

Why did DRL dash indicator come on after I changed to LED headlights?

Because most vehicles can't be changed like that. Cars are designed and programmed to use LED and HID Lamps The Daytime Running Lights, Fog Lights and Headlights are controlled via the Body Control Module using a communication system. Your LED lights all have a control circuit in them and sends signals that the BCM can't interpret. It causes strange things like you are seeing and you will see other oddities in time until the BCM fries itself from the back flow of the LED control circuitry.

I need clarification on 2003 Chev Malibu DRL problems:

That piece you think is a ceramic DRL module is a resistor , When in DRL mode voltage to the low beam headlamps circuit goes through that resistor dimming the headlamps from low beam to daytime running lamps . It sounds to me like you need a new resistor ,but without doing some electrical testing it could be a lot of things . The DRL relay in the under hood fuse box could have a problem , could be the BCM - body control module , the ambient light sensor etc... Here is how daytime running lamps work .
Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
The ambient light sensor is a light sensitive transistor that varies its voltage signal to the body control module (BCM) in response to changes to the outside (ambient) light level. When the BCM receives this signal it will either turn on the daytime running lights (DRL) or the headlights. Any function or condition that turns on the headlights will cancel the daytime running lamps operation. With the headlight switch in the OFF position, the headlights will either be turned ON or OFF, after an approximate 30 second delay depending on whether daylight or low light conditions are sensed. The HTR A/C IGN fuse in the underhood junction block supplies ignition positive voltage to the daytime running lamp (DRL) relay coil circuit. The DRL relay switch contacts are connected to the low beam circuit. When the headlamp switch is placed in the OFF position, the BCM will either turn on or off the daytime running lamps, depending on whether daylight or low light conditions are sensed. The BCM energizes the DRL relay, closing the switch contacts and grounding the low beam circuit. Ground is provided at G101. The DRL illuminate the low beam headlights at a reduced intensity. The DRL will operate when the ignition switch is in the ON position, the gear selector is not in the PARK position and the parking brake is released. When these conditions have been met and the ambient light sensor indicates daytime conditions, the DRL will illuminate.

Hello,I use honda accord 2004model,(EOD) the DRL life is on,yello lite, pls explain better to me.thanks

in canada? with DRL?
is the charge (battery Light on running)
nice photo but do name all lights, i see idle is at 800rpm good.
i see check engine light there, top left. so you need to scan PCM
using any scan tool
that is first.

DRL can shut down for other failures one is charge lamp. on.
if charge lamp is on , do not drive far, or it will stall and battery will discharge and be stranded. (till AAA auto tow is called <jumped)

99 gmc denali dash light, parking lights, tail lights, and dash light dont work. Interior lights, brake lights, blinkers, headlights work Turning on the headlight switch blows number 15 drl-fog fuse...

You have a short to ground somewhere in the drl-fog lamp circuit. Check for obvious wiring connector or wiring to drl & fog lamps. check wiring for pinched or broken wires coming from sockets. If you don't find problem, you can trace wiring from lamps to main harnesses and hopefully find source of short.
hope this helps.

What is the DRL warning light on the dashboard of my 2007 Honda CRV?

On my 2007 Honda CR-V The DRL code appeared on the dash board. Additionally I had only one high beam (on the passenger side); both low beams were fine, but I did not have a Daytime Running Light on the drivers side. The DRL code was really misleading because the real problem was that the high beam element in the headlight bulb was burned out. Note that the daytime running light is not a seperate bulb -- it is the high beam element which is powered at a low voltage. Once I replaced the head light bulb everything worked fine and the DRL code on the dash board was gone. So if the DRL message appears what you really need to do is replace the headlight bulb (there are YouTube videos which show how to do this - but search for headlight replacement, not for DRL fix). Be careful not to touch the new bulb with you hands since premature burnout can occur from the grease off your skin. I got my bulb from Wal-Mart for $8.88 (it's a 9003/HB2 for the 2007 CR-V) -- that's a pretty cheap fix.

DRL-1998 Cavalier Z24

Check your DRL relay that is located in the fuse box. Also check the connector under the battery box for corrosion. (Not a smart place to put a connector) GM really messed up with the wiring on the 98-00 cavaliers headlights.
