Bad alternator or short in alternator wiring. You much need a wiring diagram. Is that the car? Was in an accident? You may have pinched wiring or a wire shorted to ground. Try new fuse with alternator disconnected, then with key on, connect alternator-watch for sparks, or clicks, -you might want to have the alternator tested, just to be sure. You have to start somewhere...
Maybe a wiring short in the blinker system? Or is the fuse blowing an alternator fuse?

I checked the alternator, totally fine, should I still try with alternator disconnected? Shouldn't it work without the fuse? Cuz it still does the same thing, just blinker are on, if I disconnect the alternator, I don't want to blow another fuse, they are like $6 :(

And yea, it's that car, the accident was not big enough for anything under the hood to break, just the bumper and the langerons, or whatever they are called in English

  • montehammons Oct 28, 2016

If you checked and alternator is good, don't bother disconnecting again. Short must be elsewhere. A way to test is to rig up a circuit breaker of similar amperage as the fuse. Rig it up with jumper wires to fit in the fuse slots. Then when you turn key on to look for short, the CB will save you buying fuses. The CB will go off, but come back on shortly. Also check for any ground wires that came dislodged from the accident.

I have a 94 f-350 with the 6.9l DIESEL and the battery's won't charge

How old is the battery? In general, vehicle batteries are considered 'old' after 5 years especially on bigger engines.
Using a volt meter or a multimeter set to Volts try this. With the engine off and the Keys out test the voltage directly on the battery. You should get a reading somewhere around 12.6 to 13.2 volts. Start the engine and retest the battery voltage. If the alternator is working correctly the reading should rise to somewhere around 13.6 to 14.2 volts.

Can I restore a blown Mazda Bravo manual instrument cluster?

Look for a bad fuse for the cluster first. I'd want to fix the alternator voltage regulator before anything else.

No hazard lights and no turn signals but every thing else works, HELP? I had a push button start installed the wire is connected into the blue fuse on the side wall just behind the battery, related?

the signals work off of the hazard flasher. the hazards are wired to constant power.if you run a fused wire from the hazard switch to the battery it all should work.
somehow the hazard power source got lost.check that there is not a blown fuse in the fuse box. a starter solenoid draws a good amount of current.they may have blown a small amp fuse looking for a power source.
patching into a fuse box for power is not high caliber work.

Main alternator fuse for my '92 Toyota Paseo constantly blows out when I reconnect my red battery connection to red battery post. Why?

carefully disconnect the alternator completely, now reconnect the battery, now one by one reconnect the alternator carefully first the connector check is fuse is blown, now the big wire that charges the battery if the fuse blown when the alternator was disconnected, the problem is in the wires, an accident, a mice, a recent engine job.
The fuse blown when the terminals to alternator are connected the problem is the alternator.

I believe I shorted something from the alternator....

put a set of jumper cables on your battery, then quickly touch the 2 ends of the cables together, if there is a strong spark, then your battery is ok, if there is a very weak, or no spark, then you have shorted out the battery,, then, if battery ok, look for a small black box ,near the battery , it has a large fuse inside, you may have blown this......if everything is ok, then you have shorted out your alternator
