It isn't too hard. You need to drain the oil first ( make sure to change the gasket around the plug every time you remove and replace the plug or it will leak), then drop the oil pan... put down lots of absorber pads as there will be droppings. Have a rag on hand for your hands. Scrape and clean the old seal where the oil pan meets the engine then put on a new one once it is thoroughly cleaned. Put on new pan, or repair old one.... again make sure to replace oil pan gasket and new oil drain gasket ( around plug..) since your going that far get a new oil filter also.... fill the new filter with oil before installing, fill up the engine with new oil..ps. It takes a few minutes to run down so wait between oil bottles and check the level ( don't run the car) fill the oil until the dip stick reads full ( remember wait a few minutes between each liter of oil to give it a chance to leak into the bottom of the engine). I believe it is around 4.5 quarts including the amount needed to fill the filter.

How to replace a fog light bulb on a 2004 Toyota Camry

Video Description
The video above shows how to change the fog light bulb in your 2004 Toyota Camry. Not all models have fog lights - for many Toyotas, it depends on your trim level (XLE) or whether the fog light option was ordered when your Camry was manufactured. Fog lights are typically in the front bumper, below the headlight cluster and are helpful in poor visibility. If one fog light is burnt out on your Camry, we recommend changing both bulbs because the working bulb will be dimmer than the one you replaced and will likely burn out soon anyway.

When you change the foglight on your Camry, be careful not touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers which causes the bulb to burn out earlier.

Oil pan gasket leaks

go to autozone dot com and make a free account then put in the make model and year and look at the free repair guides. That will help but you need to be able to raise the vehicle to work under it, then you need to remove all the pan bolts and if you can not drop the pan all the way, just enough to remove the gasket will work, make sure that you clean the surfaces on the pan and the block, dont use any sealer on it. make sure it is lined up correctly, put it back and tighten the bolts, DONT OVER TIGHTEN the bolts.

Where is oil filter on 2009 camry v-6

hi, this should tell you all you need to know.

The oil filter is located immediately adjacent to the oil pan in a vertical recess. This will be on the passenger side half of the car. The black plastic underbody splash guard has a semi-circular cutout at its rear edge which will make finding the filter very easy the first time. The filter itself is vertically oriented which makes removing it a snap with a fluted cup-type oil filter wrench. Having it vertically oriented will minimize oil spillage, as the filter can be brought straight down after completely unscrewing it from its mounting boss.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok.

1997 toyota avalon oil pan gasket leaking , seems

Are you sure its the oil pan most leaks come from the valve cover gaskets up above. check the corners of the valve covers. If the pan needs re-sealed you will have to remove the flex pipe.

My 96 toyota camry smokes when i start it .

automotive shops sell this stuff called honey. Its super thick oil that might slow down the leak. If the leak is coming from your oil pan try tightening the 10 or twelve small bolts around the oil pan. only go a half a turn on each so you dont smash your gasket or seal.

Replace a 2004 Camry oil filter

For your car the Oil filter should be on the front left side of the engine as you look at it.
You will more then likely have to remove a small body panel to access it.
The drain plug should be located on the left side of the oil pan as well.

The Filter your car requires is a Wix #51348
Oil Capacity is 4.5 qts with Filter Change, double check your owner's manual or service manual to make sure.
So purchase 6 qts of you have some on hand when you check it and find it's a bit low.
General Procedures.

  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • If you plan to change your oil regularly, consider investing in jack stands, a socket set
(adapter to go from 3/8 to1/2 inch for strap wrench), a strap wrench, oil drain pan, leather gloves, funnel and a magnetic retrieval tool
(to retrieve the plug encase you drop it in the hot oil).
  • Run the car's engine for 10 minutes before you drain the oil. Warm oil drains faster than cold oil.
  • Park the car on a level surface, engage the parking brake and turn off the engine.
  • If your car has a low clearance, raise it by driving it onto a ramp or by jacking it up and supporting it securely.
  • Open the hood and place the new oil and funnel on top of the engine to ensure that you won't forget to add oil afterwards.
  • (an expensive mistake that many do-it-yourselfers make!).
