Hi Yada, I was looking up wiring diagram, maybe you'll can use it? My thought was check fuses for voltage, if no voltage, have to backtrack to dimmer. Have a good day.

The most common cause of this is the headlight dimmer switch is defective

Testimonial: "Hi there and thanks for the reply! I replaced the switch and still have the same problem. Suggestions? Thanks!"

You had already replaced the switch when you asked the question?

Yep. Thought that would do the trick, but no dice.

Low beams don't work on 1997 Honda Civic

If your high beams work and your low beams do not work... try changing the light bulbs first. The low beams can burn out and the high beams still work.

All lights work including high beam, but NO low beam. 1994 Capri.

Hi, ther are two elements in each headlight bulb , one for high beam and one for low beam and your low beams are burnt out ,you will have to replace the bulbs to have low beams too , which you can get at the auto parts store, they are not very expensive or difficult to do .

No headlamps on 97 Mountaineer.

Buy 1 bulb and insert in each socket one at a time. If the low beam does not work on either side you know it is not because of the bulb. Then you will have 1 extra bulb for emergencies. Ask at autoparts about a headlight relay for lowbeam. When you wrote that highbeams work on pullback you did not say if they stay on high. You have "Flash to Pass" for highbeam which can be a different circuit. The automatic headlight switch is yet another set of contacts to go bad. You should set "auto" to off so you are not fighting this feature when testing. Good Luck

2003 Mercury Mountaineer

No you don't have to remove battery.
Look on the back side of the headlamp assembly and you will see to black retainer clips.Pull up on them and this releases the headlamp assembly, pull it forward then replace bulb reinstall the assembly and then push the retainer clips back down.
