Is the fuel pump being turned on ? Is there B+ voltage to the pump ? Check fuel pump relay , check the basic before condemning a new fuel pump ! New pump may be bad--it happens. There should be a check valve that keeps fuel from draining back when you turn it off. If this is not working it could cause this.

Replace fuel pump in mazda truck B2300 1996
I have seen when the fuel pump goes out, it will suck.junk up in the lines and.clog the fuel filter, so maybe.try changing that first.

did you plug.all the.wires back into.the.new.fuel pump,.do you hear the.fuel pump run when you turn your key.to the on position? now if you push your gas pedal to the.floor this will stop the.fuel from being pumped, have you checked to.see if you have fuel pressure in the.fuel rails, by either a fuel gauge, or be pressing in the Schrader valve ?\'

The cutoff switch is to turn the fuel off if the truck has been in an accident. It doesn't just shut off on it's own. You do not have fuel flowing so it's either your fuel relay switch in the fuse center under the hood or the fuel pressure regulator, or the fuel filter, or the most expensive one which is the fuel pump and you have to drop the gas tank to replace it.

1994 mazda b2300 turns over fine but won't start not getting fuel, i do not hear fuel pump when i turn key
There is a fuel pump "roll over" valve in the floorboard on the passenger side. It stops the fuel pump from running incase you roll the vehicle to prevent a fire. Check that the switch didn't trip from someone possibly kicking it or something. Then check any fuses or relays (swap relays if you have a spare or switch with the same on in a different slot). If everything checks out ok, then you probably need a fuel pump

How do I disconnect the pressurized fuel line on Mazda B2300
You need a special tool called a fuel line disconnect tool.You should be able to get one for your specific vehicle at an auto parts store.However that is not the correct or safest way to check for a bad fuel pump.Check out this link for more info.

The car is sputtering at high rpm
Hello, I would change the fuel filter especially if it's never been changed to your knowledge and if the car runs great up untill 4200rpms. If the filter is starting to plug then it will fell boggy and possibly jerky because the motor is being starved for fuel.
