I need a diagram for a factory amp for a 95 Lincoln continental

The factory doesn't publish diagrams for the cluster internals, just what it connects to. Sorry.

a standard wiring diagram for that year continental will work... also you need to find a manual to get said diagram

Have to see what it controls

Need to look in a Helm Factory Service Manual
or Alldata at a shop

If you have no factory diagnostic manuals, you at least need
the wiring diagrams or you don't know what is in the system
or where to start your testing.

I approach every vehicle with wiring diagrams,pencil,& pad
on first trip out to the car, unless I'm just getting codes & looking
at scan tool data first or road testing with scanner or fuel pressure
gauge tied to a windshield wiper

Most local repair shops should be able to print that from ALLData
or whatever system they subscribe to for you.

Go to several repair shops until you find
one that subscribes to ALLDATA,Mitchell
etc ,data base,and have them print just the system you need

when you say it wont shift out of first gear what do mean it stays in first the whole time or it goes into like a nuetral state
