Car overheating we changed the thrermostat still the same

Check your overflow bottle for any signs of exhaust fumes, the coolant for any signs of oil contamination and the oil for any signs of an emulsion forming. Overheating is often a sign of a blown headgasket with a leak between one (or more) of the cylinders and the coolant passage in the head and block. If ignored, when the oil looses too much of its lubricating value due to water mixed with it, the engine can seize up and then it gets very expensive.
If you want to embark on doing your own maintenance, I highly recommend you invest $20 US in a Haynes manual for your car which will contain all of the info you need on things you can do at home.

My thermostat bolt broke when i was screwing it back in. Its a jeep 2004 grand cherokee 7.7 v8 powertech. wondering what the peice is called that thrermostat housing connects to?

Can you run a drill bit (smaller than the bolt into the middle of the broken bolt? If so get a easy out from local auto parts store to pull broken bolt. Don't forget to pickup a new bolt.

There is a clicking noise whenever the blinker shuts off, like th2 blinker is still on. what is that and how do i fix it? also how do i locate and change the thrermostat on my 2004 Pontiac Grand Am?

hi the way to find where your thermostat is to follow the top hose from the radiator to the engine where it connects to the engine that is where the thermostat housing is, the clicking sound is possibly the flasher box continuing to click, i it is working as they say don't fix it, but if it bothers you you should get it replaced but also the clicking sound might just be the heater matrix inside the car cooling down, this is the thing that you get heat from in the car its like a little radiator under the dash..hope this helps

I HAVE A 97 GRAND AM GT,REPLACED WATER PUMP, THRERMOSTAT,FLUSHED RADIATOR,NO WATER LEAKS STILL OVERHEATING.

Ok, a couple of tries. 1, make sure the electric fan runs. 2, when engine is running at normal temperature, feel across the whole radiator, if you feel cool or cold spots, clogged radiator and replace it. 3, if it overheats quickly, possible headgasket failure, have a shop do a block test to confirm. Hope it is not #3
