We bought a factory stereo replacement kit and the instructions only came in french, how do we find the english version

KESS V2 can support English, French, Italian , Dutch ,Portuguese and Spanish.

The original radio is a BOSE system and it has a buit in amp. So if you replaced the deck you need to replace the speakers all so. Don't cut the wires to hook-up the deck buy an addapter KIT. It's not just the stereo that runs though that harness the factory alarm does all so and that will cause you problems. Anyway back to the stereo you need to add an amplifier and problem sovled.

Buy a metra dash kit and it will have step by step instructions,you will need harness too ,donot cut factory wires.!!!!!!!

I am currently in the process of putting in a new stereo in my 03 cavalier. It's actually quite a process but can be done with some patience. I really don't have the time for a highly detailed explanation but here is the outline. First pull the airbag fuse just in case, you'll see why. The dashboard will have to come out first. It all starts with the screw located inside the drivers side fuse box area. This will allow the dashboard to be gently pryed up and popped out, there are just clips holding. Keep an eye out for areas that are not coming up easily, there will probably be screws to take care of. (There are some in the glove box.) From here it's pretty self explanatory. The trim around the stereo must come out. Then the stereo. Not too difficult. You'll need a warning chime replacement harness. I used SCHOSHE #GMLAN2SR. You'll probably need a dash install kit depending on the size stereo you go with. You'll also need to wire the stereo to a switched source of power(12V ignition, orange). Have fun...

Was the aftermarket kit made in China? If so, that's probably your main problem!

It's actually not too hard when you figure everything out. I just installed an aftermarket stereo and couldn't get any sound until I stumbled across a solution on this site. First you need to get the correct wire harness which I bought on ebay for $1.99. Then you need to get the install kit. I got mine at Radio Shack for $10.00 cause they're going out of business. You can get it at Best Buy too or any other car stereo place. To get the old stereo out. Take out the cup holder. There is a button on the top rear of it that releases it. Then remove the 2 screws at the bottom. Gently pull the entire trim that surrounds the stereo, cd changer and ac controls. You will now have access to removing the stereo. It's very easy after that. After you connect the wire harness and install the new stereo you need to run a wire from the red ACC wire on the stereo to the NBS relay in the fuse box under the hood. That's it! Good luck. go to walmart find your cd player, dash kit ,wiring kit and then this is what you do .. remove the old radio attach the wiring harnes you bought to the factory wiring harnes this will allow you to match the color code up for your new radio with out cuting wires then install the new dash kit witch will allow you to install your cd player with a factory look this should be everything ou need to know

I've been looking for instructions to remove the stereo in my 2005 Odyssey as well. You can easily find a kit that allows you to mount a standard car stereo in the space.
