I read online and in my manual for the car that you press and hold the disable traction control button to also disable stabilitrak. But it never actually shows that it's disabled and I can tell when driving that it isn't. It's supposed to prompt stabilitrak off after the Traction Control off pops up. Is this a year that I cannot disable stabilitrak?
You can not disconnect traction control with out taking down the transmission pan slot involved you should be able to shut off by a switch
There is a button inside to disable traction control, but stabilitrack still kicks in and restricts engine response to the wheels. Most years will allow you to disable that too by holdong the button for a few seconds to disable both but mine wont do it. I was curious of anyone knew if 2008 was a year you couldnt disable it.

check for codes in the ABS module to start as it controls traction control and I think works with Stabilitrak.
