P0016 code on 02 kia spectra 2.0l DOHC need diagram to align crank and both cams please

cut off = engine stalls p0016(vvt failures) did you look this up first? in a real kia book?

autozoned parts are junk, china cloned parts are.
so guessing and adding bad parts gets you where? double bad now.

Trouble Code: P0016 (2.0L L4 VIN - Auto)
Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor A)and read this.
The CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) system is installed to the chain sprocket of the intake camshaft. This system controls the intake camshaft to provide the optimal valve timing. The PCM controls the Oil Control Valve(OCV), based on the signals output from mass air flow, throttle position and engine coolant temperature. The CVVT controller regulates the intake camshaft angle using oil pressure through the OCV. PCM monitors timing misalignment while no active faults are present and fully warmed up engine oil at idle. If the timing is misaligned PCM determines that a fault exists and a DTC is stored. Possible Causes:

• * Oil level, pressure and condition
• * OCV
• * CVVT
• * Timing mark alignment

The code P0016 is a crank and cam misalignment code.

Depending on the engine you have can mean different things, so please when you need help the more information you give us will help us help you.

If you have a 1.8 or 2.0 or 2.4 Liter Engine there is a Chrysler Service Bulletin for reprogramming the engine controller among other things that need to be done for this code. It will need to be done at a Chrysler Dealership. TSB: 18-018-07

If you have a 2.7 or 3.5 Engine. You'll need to check the Cam and Crank Sensor Tone Wheels for being loose or cake with debris. You'll also need to check the wiring from the cam and crank sensor to the engine controller for any kind of damage and you'll need to check the timing to make sure it has note jumped a tooth causing it to be at of alignment. Crank/cam misaligned timing can be due to a slack timing belt jumping a tooth on a cog. Check that the belt is tight and that the timing marks on belt align with the cam and crank pulley timing marks.

my would assume that timming is off recheck alignment of timing marks

get a chilton or hays manual from a auto parts store it will show you the diagram.

listen to me carefully. find out where is piston #1 pull the spark plug out and stick a long flat head screew driver in the hole where was the spark plug for piston #1 and turn the crank-shaft untill the screew driver hits the highest point.
what this means, the pistons go up and down,ok.
now, the screew driver has to come up if it go back down just a little your fucked.

leave the crank-shaft for now. the cam-shaft needs to be properly aligned if not you can damage the valves.

the p0030 is the heater circuit in the o2s bfore the cat. as long as there has been no one cutting through the fire wall(which i have seen) and into harness trying to install a stereo then you should be able to replace the o2 sensor which should still be under warranty. the p0016 has to do with the crank/cam sensor which could be going bad. how does it run? if it runs good or wont start, replace the sensor. happy holidays

For the lower pulley, check that timing mark on the pulley is aligned with timing mark on engine.

On the head, check that "I" mark on intake camshaft pulley is aligned with mark on cylinder head cover and "E" mark on exhaust camshaft pulley is aligned with mark on cylinder head cover.
