could be corroded gas lines or gas tank, the carbon cannister or leaking injectors and or if you have a tendancy to fill your tank more at the gas pump to the rim of the filler cap the filler neck that connects to the gas tank by means of a rubber seal may be ruptured. check for gas leaks under the car and in the engine bay, first with the car running and then with the car,s engine shut down and around the filler neck.it could be as simple as having to replace your gas cap. good luck.
Yes, virtually all cars have them these days. You will not get any fuel out of the filler cap. There are some places you might get access to the tank contents like the outlet to or from the pump, the rubber connector that connects the filler pipe to the tank or the fuel pump if it is mounted in the tank and is accessible under the back seat.
Might have a leak in the fuel filler neck. either the neck itself has a hole (rust?) or the short rubber hose that connects the neck to the fuel tank is bad. Normally the fuel system is sealed, if the gas cap is loose, for example, that will cause a check engine light. I think you have a hole somewhere in the tank or filler neck that is causing this. If you can examine it from underneath, you might be able to see the problem, look for stains from the gas. If you can see the problem, it should not be hard to fix.
if it's a hose or pipe go to dealer or junk yard get another if broken clamp replace if neck part of tank call rad shop see if the can solder if you drain & pull tank
you can try a salvage yard that has a computer that will let you know of other cars that will interchange with yours and they may have one used that will work, but you should also be able to go to auto zone or napa and get a rubber tubing that can be high pressure fuse hose that will work on your car alot cheaper then $450.00
Bottom where it goes in the tank
